This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of GafferLab. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination without refund.
Prohibited Content
You must not create, upload, generate, or publish content that:
Illegal and Harmful Content
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Depicts child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
- Sexualizes or exploits minors
- Contains non-consensual intimate imagery
- Promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or mass violence
- Incites hatred or discrimination based on protected characteristics (race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality)
- Contains credible threats of violence
- Facilitates human trafficking or modern slavery
Intellectual Property Violations
- Infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property
- Uses copyrighted music, footage, or logos without permission
- Reproduces protected sports league broadcasts without rights
- Impersonates club/league branding to deceive
Deceptive Content
- Deepfakes of real people without documented consent
- Fabricated quotes attributed to real individuals (players, managers, pundits)
- Fake match scores, fabricated statistics, or false match results presented as real
- Disinformation about real football events, transfers, or team announcements
- Phishing, scams, or fraud
- Content impersonating official club accounts, leagues, or governing bodies (FA, UEFA, FIFA)
AI-Specific Prohibitions
- Generating voices of real individuals without their explicit consent
- Creating AI-generated content falsely attributed to commentators, players, or celebrities
- Synthesizing speech in a deceased person's voice
- Using voice cloning to commit fraud or identity theft
- Bypassing AI content safety filters
- Prompt injection attacks against our AI providers
Harassment and Abuse
- Targets individuals with harassment, stalking, or doxxing
- Contains personal information published without consent
- Defames or falsely accuses identifiable persons
- Promotes self-harm or suicide
Malicious Activity
- Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Attempts to compromise user accounts
- Scrapes data beyond API rate limits
- Reverse engineers the Service
- Probes for vulnerabilities without authorization (use our responsible disclosure policy)
- Distributes credentials or API keys
Prohibited Uses of the Platform
You must not:
- Use the Service for automated content farms without disclosure
- Create multiple accounts to evade rate limits or bans
- Sell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service
- Use the Service to train competing AI models
- Circumvent the credit system through any technical means
- Use the API in ways that degrade service for other users
- Employ scraping bots or automated crawlers
- Spam social platforms via our auto-publish features
- Post repetitive/low-quality content to social platforms
Football-Specific Restrictions
Given GafferLab's football focus:
- Official branding: Do not create content using official league logos, broadcast graphics, or club assets you don't own
- Fixture data: Fixture and stats data is provided for personal/commercial content creation only. Do not resell the data as a standalone product.
- Betting content: Content promoting unlicensed gambling or match-fixing is prohibited
- Player likenesses: Using player photos or likenesses for commercial purposes may require separate licenses
- Match highlights: Do not use official broadcast clips without rights holder permission
- Referee abuse: Content inciting abuse of match officials is prohibited
Social Media Automation Rules
When using our auto-publish features, you must comply with each platform's terms:
- Instagram: Must not violate Meta's community standards or advertising policies
- TikTok: Must comply with TikTok's community guidelines
- Twitter/X: Must comply with X's rules and automation policy
- No spam: Do not post repetitively, create engagement bait, or mass-schedule identical content
- Disclosure: If content is AI-generated, disclose as required by platform and local law
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this AUP, please report it to:
Include:
- URL or content ID
- Description of violation
- Your contact information (optional for anonymous reports)
We investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
Child Safety Emergency
For urgent reports of CSAM or child safety concerns:
- UK: Internet Watch Foundation (iwf.org.uk)
- US: NCMEC CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org)
- EU: INHOPE (inhope.org)
We also report CSAM directly to authorities.
Enforcement
Violations may result in:
- Warning: For minor or first-time violations
- Content removal: Offending content deleted
- Feature restrictions: Temporary loss of access to specific features
- Account suspension: Temporary inability to use the Service
- Account termination: Permanent removal without refund
- Legal action: For serious violations or repeated offenses
- Law enforcement referral: Where required by law
We reserve the right to enforce at our discretion. Appeals may be submitted to [email protected].
Responsible Disclosure
Security researchers who find vulnerabilities should report them to [email protected]. We commit to:
- Acknowledging receipt within 48 hours
- Not pursuing legal action against good-faith researchers
- Providing credit (if desired) for valid reports
- Working collaboratively to fix issues
Do NOT:
- Access user data beyond what's necessary to demonstrate the vulnerability
- Publicly disclose before we've had a chance to fix
- Use findings to access or modify the Service
Changes
We may update this AUP as needed. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
